Breast Cancer Research
Breast cancer is one of the leading causes of mortality and morbidity in women around the world. Research into its causes, detection, treatment and prevention has greatly advanced in recent years. Breast cancer research focuses on identifying risk factors, developing screening and diagnostic tests, evaluating effective treatments and, ultimately, preventing the disease. This research has led to improved outcomes for breast cancer patients, including improved survival rates and improved quality of life. The ultimate goal of breast cancer research is to find ways to prevent the disease from ever occurring and to improve the diagnosis and treatment of those who are already affected.
