Augmentation Mammaplasty

Augmentation mammaplasty, or commonly referred to as breast augmentation, is a surgical procedure for enlarging, reshaping, and improving the overall appearance of a woman's breasts. The procedure involves the use of either saline-filled or silicone gel-filled silicone implants that are placed either directly behind the breast tissue or under the chest muscle. Through the operation, one can increase the size of the breasts, restore the natural shape following pregnancy or weight loss, and improve asymmetries between breasts. Augmentation mammaplasty is elective, but it is a very safe procedure when followed correctly. Breast augmentation can have a positive impact on a woman's self-image and confidence in addition to improving body image and proportions.
