Angiosarcoma

Angiosarcoma is a rare malignant cancer of the inner lining of the blood vessels and lymph channels. It is commonly found in the skin, liver, and heart, but can arise in other body tissues as well. It is usually a fast-growing tumor and usually more aggressive than other types of cancer. Treatment often requires chemotherapy, radiation, and/or surgery, depending on the location and extent of the tumor. If untreated, angiosarcoma can spread to other organs and be fatal. Early detection and aggressive management of angiosarcoma is essential to improve outcomes and survival.
