Shaking Palsy

Shaking Palsy, otherwise known as Essential Tremor, is a neurological disorder characterised by a tremor of the hands, arms, legs and/or head. It is one of the most common movement disorders, affecting almost 10 million people in the US alone. Despite being non-fatal and mostly painless, it causes severe disability, making it hard for sufferers to carry out everyday activities. Currently, there is no known cure for Shaking Palsy, but treatments are available to reduce the symptoms and improve quality of life. These treatments include medications, lifestyle changes and surgery, depending on the severity of the condition.
