Coma

cluster The Coma cluster is a cluster of over a thousand galaxies located in the constellation Coma Berenices, approximately 320 million light-years away. It is one of the largest and most massive structures in the universe and is home to the brightest known clusters of galaxies. The Coma cluster is of particular scientific importance because it allows astronomers to study the structure of the universe and its evolution. It has been used to measure dark matter and probe the mysterious dark energy, which pervades the universe. Additionally, the Coma cluster provides a unique laboratory to study the properties of the intergalactic medium, which helps to provide a better understanding of galaxy formation and evolution.
