Central Nervous System Diseases
The Central Nervous System (CNS) refers to the brain and the spinal cord. Diseases of the CNS can occur due to genetic factors, infections, trauma and environmental toxins. These diseases can range from mild to severe, and can affect different regions of the CNS as well as the entire system. Common CNS diseases include Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Epilepsy, and Stroke. Early diagnosis and treatment of these diseases is essential in managing their progress and treating symptoms. Research is ongoing to improve understanding of CNS diseases and develop new treatments.
