Brain Tumor Types
A brain tumor is an abnormal growth of cells within the brain. Brain tumors can be benign or malignant and can originate from different cell types. Benign tumors tend to grow slowly, while malignant tumors tend to grow rapidly. Brain tumors can cause symptoms related to their location, size, and rate of growth, such as headaches, seizures, cognitive changes, and vision and balance problems. Depending on the type of tumor, treatments may include surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy. It is important to identify the type of tumor accurately in order to receive the best possible treatment and prognosis.
