Children Orthopaedics
Children orthopaedics is a branch of medicine dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal issues in young people. It addresses problems of the bones, joints, muscles and ligaments in the pediatric population, which are often different from those in adults. This specialty focuses on preventing and treating conditions that can result in impairment, such as scoliosis, hip dysplasia and limb-length discrepancy. Common treatments range from bracing and non-surgical methods to more advanced corrective surgeries when necessary. Children orthopaedics is important for ensuring the best possible development and function of a child, as well as addressing any existing issues and preventing them from worsening.
