Sweat

Sweat is a salty watery fluid that is released from the body when it needs to cool down. It plays an important role in regulating the body’s temperature, as it helps to reduce heat when the body is exposed to warm or hot temperatures. Sweat is produced in the sweat glands and consists of water, electrolytes and other compounds such as urea, lactic acid and uric acid. Sweat is also an important way for the body to rid itself of toxins and wastes, as many of these substances can be found in sweat. Sweat can also be used to diagnose medical conditions such as diabetes, kidney and liver diseases, infection, and dehydration. Understanding sweat is important for the prevention and treatment of numerous diseases and health conditions.
