Rheum

palmatum Rheum palmatum, commonly known as Chinese rhubarb, is a perennial plant native to central and western Asia. It is widely cultivated as an ornamental perennial and is used in traditional Chinese medicine. The root and rhizome are used in a variety of medicinal applications, mainly to treat digestive issues such as diarrhea and constipation, as well as a variety of other ailments. It is also used as a laxative and to treat other conditions such as coughs, colds, fever, and headaches.
