Gastric Juice
Gastric juice is a highly acidic digestive fluid produced in the stomach. It is composed mainly of hydrochloric acid, electrolytes, and enzymes, and helps to break down food so it can be more easily digested. Gastric juice also kills bacteria, prevents food from becoming spoiled, and helps to convert proteins, carbohydrates, and fats into forms that can be easily absorbed. This makes it an important component of the digestion process.
