Fluid Physiology

Fluid physiology is the study of the movement and composition of bodily fluids, such as blood, urine, and saliva. It is an important branch of physiology that contributes to crucial functions in the body, such as the regulation of temperature and homeostasis, the regulation of pH levels, and the absorption and distribution of vital nutrients and minerals. Fluid physiology also plays a major role in the functioning of the cardiovascular, renal, gastrointestinal, reproductive, and endocrine systems. Its applications are widespread and include the treatment of diseases such as edema and dehydration, as well as the development of medical technologies such as dialysis, tissue engineering, and organ transplants.
