Exudates
Exudates are bodily fluids that are composed of proteins, enzymes, and other substances. They are secreted through the skin or mucous membranes as a response to inflammation and infection. Exudates play a vital role in the healing and repair process of the body. They have antibacterial and antifungal properties that help to neutralize the pathogen and promote recovery. Additionally, they contain essential nutrients, such as vitamins and minerals, which can help to accelerate tissue healing. Exudates also form membrane-like barriers, which protect the wound and stop bacteria from entering. As a result, exudates are an important component of wound healing.
