Edge Computing
Edge computing is a distributed computing model that pushes applications, data, and computing resources away from central hubs of computation, such as the cloud, to the computational edge of networks. By bringing computing resources closer to users, it improves the performance, efficiency, and reliability of applications which require low latency or need to be processed locally. Edge computing is often used in Internet of Things (IoT) systems, such as connected cars, autonomous vehicles, and smart homes, that require real-time data processing. Additionally, edge computing is often deployed in networks that are sensitive to data latency and data privacy, such as banking and healthcare. Edge computing has the potential to revolutionize the way we interact with technology, providing us with more efficient, secure, and faster computing resources.
