Chyme

Chyme is a semifluid mixture of partially digested food and digestive juices produced in the stomach. It is an essential stage in the digestive process, as it allows the body to absorb essential nutrients into the bloodstream. Chyme is then passed through the small intestine, where the nutrients are further broken down and absorbed. This allows the body to extract energy, vitamins and minerals from the food we eat. Without chyme, our bodies could not process food and make use of the nutrients it contains.
