Body Fluid Transport Mechanisms
Body fluid transport mechanisms refer to the processes and pathways that move bodily fluids such as blood, lymph, and water throughout the body. These mechanisms play an essential role in maintaining the proper flow of nutrients, hormones, and other substances that are needed for normal body functioning. Body fluid transport mechanisms enable proper circulation of blood and help regulate blood pressure as well as keep organs, muscles, and other tissues hydrated. Additionally, these mechanisms help to eliminate waste from the body. For example, water is carried by the lymphatic system to help remove unwanted toxins from the body.
