Body Fluid Compartments
The body fluid compartments are a set of compartments in the body where different bodily fluids are stored and circulated. These compartments are lined by epithelial cells and serve a range of functions, including helping to regulate body temperature, distribute important nutrients, remove toxins and waste, as well as providing a medium for hormones and other vital chemical messengers. Body fluid compartments are essential for maintaining normal health and homeostasis. They also play a role in various diseases, such as cardiovascular disease and various autoimmune diseases. Understanding the role of body fluid compartments is thus essential for both diagnosing and treating these diseases.
