Body Fluid Biomarkers
Body fluid biomarkers are molecules found in body fluids (such as blood, saliva, and urine) that can provide insight into the health of a person. They can be used to detect disease onset, identify disease characteristics, and monitor a person’s response to treatments. By measuring biomarkers, clinicians can make more informed diagnostic and therapeutic decisions, which can ultimately improve patient care. The use of body fluid biomarkers has become increasingly important as advances in technology offer quicker and more precise ways to measure and interpret biomarker levels.
