Secondary Hypertension
Secondary hypertension is a form of high blood pressure caused by underlying medical conditions or medications, as opposed to primary hypertension, which is caused by lifestyle factors. It is a major contributor to cardiovascular morbidity and mortality and can have serious consequences if not properly managed. Treatment of secondary hypertension involves addressing the underlying cause and controlling the blood pressure through lifestyle modifications, medications, or both. Additionally, regular monitoring of blood pressure is essential in order to prevent further complications.
