Protein-protein Interactions

Protein-protein interactions (PPIs) are the physical contacts between two or more proteins which enable them to carry out their biological functions. Understanding these PPIs is essential for discovering new disease treatments and for understanding how the body works. PPIs can be studied in different ways, such as by using computational methods or experimental methods. Computational methods use computers to analyze large amounts of data, while experimental methods involve directly testing proteins in the laboratory.
