Blue Fluorescent Protein
Blue Fluorescent Protein (BFP) is a protein found in certain species of jellyfish and coral which is used for scientific and medical research. It emits a blue fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light, and can be used in a wide range of applications. BFP is used to visually monitor a variety of biochemical processes in living cells, and can help scientists study the structure, function and dynamics of proteins, cells and tissues. It is also being used in drug development, cancer research and studies of genetic diseases. The availability of BFP has led to significant advances in our understanding of molecular biology, and its uses are expanding rapidly.
