Bioontologies
Bioontologies are computational tools used to represent biological knowledge in an organized and structured way. They allow for the representation and inference of complex biological relationships between different entities, such as genes, proteins, diseases, and pathways. This helps researchers explore and analyze large datasets quickly and accurately. Bioontologies are also used to develop new disease-related diagnostic tests and treatments. By taking into account the interconnectedness of biological systems, bioontologies help scientists to better understand and model the complexity of living systems. Ultimately, this leads to the development of new therapies and treatments for diseases.
