Nanocomposites
Nanocomposites are a special class of materials made of two or more components of nanoscale size, which range from 1 to 100 nanometers. These materials are known for their high strength, low weight, excellent thermal and electrical properties and also have huge potential applications in various fields. In automotive, aerospace and electronics industries, nanocomposites have been used for making lighter and stronger parts, with improved corrosion resistance, better electrical and thermal conductivity. In medical applications, nanocomposites are used for drug delivery, tissue engineering and prosthetics. They have also been used in energy-related applications such as solar cells and fuel cells, for their high conductivity and capacity to store energy. Nanocomposites are a promising material which holds great potential for revolutionary changes in many fields.
