Microencapsulation

Microencapsulation is a technology which coats tiny particles or droplets of substances like food ingredients, drugs, and fragrances with a thin layer of material. It helps protect the substance from changes in environment and also helps to evenly distribute small amounts of the substance. The technique is used in many industries such as food, healthcare, and cosmetics. It can improve the shelf life of products, provide slower release of active ingredients, and can mask or modify the taste or aroma of a product. The versatility of this technology means that a range of materials, shapes and sizes can be created, allowing the sustances to be used in a variety of applications. Microencapsulation is an important technology that helps to improve the production and use of various products.
