Biophotonics
Biophotonics is a field of science that applies optics and photonics to the study of biology and medicine. By using light to study and manipulate biological processes, biophotonics has a wide range of applications in medical diagnostics, medical imaging, tissue engineering, drug delivery, and optical nanosurgery. For example, biophotonics can be used to explore the microscopic structure of cells and tissues or to target specific tissues for drug delivery or cancer treatments. By providing researchers, clinicians, and medical device manufacturers with a powerful tool to observe and analyze biological processes, biophotonics can help to improve medical treatment outcomes and develop new therapies.
