Biomedical Polymers

Biomedical polymers are a type of polymer material used in medical devices to treat and diagnose various conditions in the human body. These polymers come in many shapes, sizes, and compositions and offer a variety of advantages over traditional metal components. They are highly durable, cost-effective, and lightweight, making them advantageous for medical uses. Biomedical polymers are used in medical implants, such as cardiac stents, artificial joints, and bone screws, as well as catheters, surgical instruments, and diagnostic tools. They can also be used to create targeted drug delivery systems. The use of these polymers has made a number of medical treatments and procedures more efficient, cost-effective, and safe for patients.
