Biomaterials for Oncology Studies
Biomaterials are materials which are used in medical research to study cancer. They are made of organic or non-organic materials and can be tailored to simulate the environment of tumors or to interact with the cancer cells. By studying biomaterials in oncology, researchers can gain insight into how cancer forms and spreads, as well as develop new methods of cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Biomaterials are also used to engineer diagnostic and therapeutic devices such as drug delivery systems, implants, and surgical tools. By understanding the features and behaviors of biomaterials, scientists can design better and more effective medical treatments for oncology patients.
