Metabolomics

Metabolomics is the comprehensive measurement of metabolites, which are the end products of metabolic processes inside cells. It is a powerful tool for studying the function of an organism, as it provides insight on which pathways, enzymes, and treatments have the most influence on the metabolites present. Metabolomics has been widely used in diagnosing and studying disease, fermentation optimization, and toxicology experiments. Its applications are limitless, as it provides an incredible amount of information on cell metabolism in a single experiment.
