Epidemiology

Epidemiology is the study of the distribution and determinants of health-related events, such as diseases, health-related behaviors, and health-related conditions, in populations. It is concerned with the occurrence, causes, and control of health conditions in human populations. Epidemiological investigations can be used to identify risk factors for diseases and to assess the effectiveness of interventions to reduce their impact. Epidemiology is a valuable tool for public health policy, disease surveillance, and medical research.
