Cardiac Modelling
Cardiac modelling is a computer-based technique used to simulate the behaviour of the heart. It is used in medical research and clinical management to allow for better understanding of the heart’s functioning and to predict potential pathological effects. Cardiac modelling enables more accurate diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases as well as a better understanding of their causes. It is also used to evaluate the efficacy of different treatments on patients and to plan for monitoring strategies. Additionally, cardiac modelling can be used in the development of medical devices for its potential to provide improved safety and effectiveness.
