Prosocial Behavior
Prosocial behavior is a form of social behavior characterized by actions intended to benefit others. Examples of prosocial behavior include helping, sharing, comforting, and rescuing. Such behavior can be beneficial for both the person performing the action and for the person receiving it. Prosocial behavior can help to improve relationships, promote cooperation, reduce aggression, and even increase physical health and well-being. Thus, it has an important role in creating and maintaining healthy social relationships and communities.
