Neuropsychiatry

Neuropsychiatry is a branch of medicine focused on brain-behavior connections and the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the mind and brain. It combines neuroscience, clinical psychology and psychiatry to better understand and treat conditions of the brain and nervous system and psychological problems. Neuropsychiatry is an important field of research that can have a profound impact on people’s lives, helping them to manage and treat mental health issues including depression and anxiety, as well as neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, epilepsy, and Parkinson’s disease. Behavioral therapy is an action-based therapy for positive behavior change. Other therapies tend to be more focused on delving into the past. In behavioral therapy, the past is still important as it often reveals where and when the unwanted behavior was learned, however it looks more so at present behavior and ways in which it can be rectified.
