Neurology

Neurology is a branch of medicine that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, disorders and injuries of the nervous system. This includes the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and muscles. Neurologists are specialists who use diagnostic techniques such as electroencephalography (EEG) and MRIs to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, including stroke, head trauma, dementia, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, sleep disorders, migraine headaches, and seizures. Neurology is a vital area of medicine in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders and provides important advances in understanding the workings of the brain and its diseases.
