Domestic Violence

Domestic violence is a pattern of behavior in an intimate relationship which involves the abuse of power and control through physical, sexual, emotional, verbal, or economic abuse. It is a major public health issue that affects individuals, families, and communities. Domestic violence has a significant financial cost, as well as many psychological and physical health implications. Domestic violence can have serious long-term consequences, including increased risk of depression, anxiety, physical illness, and even suicide. It is an issue that must be addressed in order to ensure the safety and well-being of those affected. Various services, such as counseling, legal assistance, and crisis intervention can be used to assist victims of domestic violence. Public awareness and education are also essential in order to reduce the prevalence of domestic violence and support those affected.
