Cognitivism
Cognitivism is an area of psychology that focuses on understanding how the mind works. It looks at the internal mental processes and information processing of humans and other animals. Cognitivism is concerned with the study of how we acquire, process and use knowledge, and how it affects our behavior. It draws on a variety of disciplines including neuroscience, computer science and linguistics, as well as psychology. By understanding the cognitive processes that affect our behavior, cognitivism has had a major impact in many fields, such as education, healthcare and artificial intelligence. It has also been used to develop cognitive therapies and cognitive enhancement techniques, to help people lead better lives.
