Mimicking Arthritis
Mimicking Arthritis (also known as Arthritis Mimic Syndrome) is a condition that mimics the symptoms of arthritis, but is not caused by the same underlying disease process. It is characterized by pain, stiffness and swelling in the joints, similar to arthritis. It can be caused by inflammatory diseases, metabolic diseases, and other conditions that affect the joints. Treatment of Mimicking Arthritis focuses on relieving the associated symptoms and can include medications, physical therapy, lifestyle modifications and alternative therapies. The goal is to improve quality of life, reduce pain and swelling, and improve mobility and range of motion.
