Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) is a chronic inflammatory condition affecting children aged 16 years and younger. It causes inflammation and swelling of the joints, resulting in pain, stiffness, and reduced range of motion in the affected limbs. JIA is a long-term condition and can cause significant disability and reduced quality of life. Treatment for JIA includes medications, physical and occupational therapy, as well as lifestyle modifications. Early diagnosis and intervention is important, as it can help reduce the severity of the symptoms and improve long-term outcomes.
