Joint Stiffness
Joint stiffness is a sensation of tightness or lack of mobility in one or more joints. It is a common symptom of many musculoskeletal conditions including arthritis and injuries to the ligaments, tendons, and muscles. It can be painful and limit the range of motion of the affected joints. Treating joint stiffness usually involves physiotherapy, exercise, lifestyle modification, splints and other forms of support, medications, and possible surgery. Early diagnosis and management of joint stiffness can help to prevent further damage to the joints and maintain good joint health.
