Bursitis
Bursitis is a condition that occurs when a bursa, a fluid-filled sac located between tissues such as skin, muscles, tendons, and bones, becomes inflamed. It generally occurs in joints such as the shoulder, elbow, hip, and knee, and can cause pain, swelling, and stiffness. It is often caused by repetitive motions such as lifting or overuse. Bursitis is typically treated with rest, pain medications, and physical therapy. In some cases, surgery may be necessary to remove the bursa and reduce inflammation. Overall, bursitis can be a painful and concerning condition, but it is treatable and the prognosis is generally good.
