Nutritional Intervention
Nutritional intervention is a method whereby certain foods or dietary supplements are incorporated into a person's diet to improve their health, lower disease risk, and treat existing conditions. Nutritional intervention can be tailored to individuals or used on a global scale to improve public health. Nutritional interventions have been used to support people with diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, obesity, and other chronic health issues. Additionally, nutritional interventions can be used to promote general health, improve overall quality of life, and reduce food insecurity and malnutrition. Nutritional intervention is a cost-effective and evidence-based approach to promoting health, treating disease, and improving quality of life.
