Nutriepigenomics

Nutriepigenomics is the study of how nutrition affects the expression of genes. It is a relatively new field of research that investigates how dietary components interact with genetic makeup to influence health and disease. Nutriepigenomics may be used to identify potential risk factors for certain diseases and to provide personalized nutrition advice that is tailored to an individual's genetic makeup. By better understanding how nutrition affects gene expression, nutriepigenomics could be used to prevent and treat chronic and metabolic diseases more effectively. Additionally, nutriepigenomics may be used to improve agriculture, create tailored diets for optimal health, and to efficiently and cost-effectively develop new and improved foods and food products.
