Pre-Dementia

Syndrome Pre-dementia syndrome, also known as Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), is a neurological disorder associated with cognitive decline beyond what is normal for a person's age and education level. It is often a precursor to the development of dementia and Alzheimer's disease. It is characterized by difficulties with memory, language, attention, and executive functions such as problem-solving and decision-making. Pre-dementia syndrome can impact an individual's ability to perform everyday activities, especially those that involve cognitive processes. Early diagnosis and treatment of pre-dementia syndrome can help slow or halt the progression of dementia and may improve quality of life. There are various lifestyle modifications, medications, and therapies that can be used to manage pre-dementia syndrome and its symptoms. While pre-dementia syndrome cannot be cured, early detection and management can help improve the lives of those affected.
