Neurodegenerative Disease
Neurodegenerative diseases are a group of progressive conditions which affect the structure and functioning of the brain, leading to its gradual deterioration. These diseases can affect memory, behavior, movement and other cognitive functions. Some of the most common neurodegenerative diseases include Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's Disease, Huntington's Disease, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), and Multiple Sclerosis (MS). These diseases can have a devastating impact on individuals and their families, as they result in a progressive loss of mental and physical functioning. Treatment and management of these conditions varies widely, and research is ongoing in order to better understand the causes and develop effective treatments.
