Etiology
Etiology is the study of the cause of a disease or disorder. It is the foundation of modern medicine and is used to determine the best treatment for a disorder or disease. Etiology can be a complex area of study, involving biological, environment, psychological, and cultural factors that can influence a person’s health. By researching the underlying cause of a disorder or disease, doctors can more effectively prescribe treatments that target the core problem and address its root cause. Additionally, etiology helps to better prevent illnesses by identifying those most vulnerable and at risk of developing specific conditions.
