Cognitive Dysfunction
Cognitive dysfunction is a broad term used to describe impairments in cognitive abilities, such as memory, concentration, attention span, executive functions, speech, understanding, and language. It is a common symptom of many diseases and conditions, including neurological disorders, depression, dementia, and traumatic brain injury. Cognitive dysfunction can have a significant impact on an individual’s quality of life and can cause distress and disability. Treatment of cognitive dysfunction involves both medication and psychological interventions. Early diagnosis and intervention is important as this can lead to better outcomes and improved quality of life.
