Clinical Depression
Clinical depression is a mental health disorder that affects how a person feels, thinks, and behaves. It causes persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and can lead to a range of physical and psychological symptoms. It is an important health issue, because it is often underdiagnosed and undertreated, affecting people of all backgrounds and ages, resulting in significant physical, psychological and functional impairments, which can affect a person's quality of life. With diagnosis and treatment, people with clinical depression can lead full and productive lives. Treatment for clinical depression typically includes a combination of medication, psychotherapy, lifestyle changes, and support from friends and family.
