Cholinesterase Inhibitor
A Cholinesterase inhibitor is a type of drug that helps to maintain balance in the nervous system. It works by preventing the breakdown of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that is essential for normal functioning of the brain and nerves. A Cholinesterase inhibitor is used to treat a variety of medical conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, depression, and myasthenia gravis. By preventing the breakdown of acetylcholine, Cholinesterase inhibitors can help improve memory, thinking, and communication as well as reduce muscle spasms and weakness. Side effects of Cholinesterase inhibitors may include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
