Music Therapy
Music therapy is the use of music in a therapeutic setting to improve emotional, physical and mental health. Music therapy is based on the idea that sound and music can be used to create patterns of thoughts, feelings and behavior that can help individuals and groups to improve self-expression, foster creative thinking and resolve conflicts. It is used in a variety of settings such as hospitals, schools, faith-based programs and rehabilitation centers. Music therapy can be used to address a wide variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, physical health problems, neurological difficulties and behavioral issues. It may also help people who have difficulty with communication or with managing their emotions. Music therapy is a powerful tool that can bring about positive changes in people’s lives.
