Complementary Therapies

Complementary therapies are forms of health care used in combination with traditional medical treatments. They aim to improve a person’s overall health and wellbeing by focusing on physical, mental and spiritual aspects of health. These therapies are used to support medical treatments as well as to reduce stress and promote relaxation. Complementary therapies are used to treat a range of physical ailments, such as chronic pain, sleep disorders, and digestive problems, as well as mental and emotional issues, including anxiety and depression. They can also be used to improve the quality of life for people with chronic illnesses, such as cancer and Parkinson’s disease. Common complementary therapies include massage, yoga, acupuncture, and homeopathy.
