Combination Chemotherapy

Combination chemotherapy is an evidence-based cancer treatment that combines two or more chemotherapy drugs to improve effectiveness by targeting different pathways of cancer cell growth. It is widely used to increase the effectiveness of chemotherapy in treating cancer, with some combinations exceeding the effectiveness of single drugs. Combination chemotherapy is also useful in reducing both the side effects and the amount of drug necessary, while allowing lower doses of individual agents and producing complete or partial remission in a higher number of patients than could be achieved with single agents.
